What rear-end did you get? Was it the 4:10 or 4:88?

 

4:88 here..................with 4:10's you've got not much more capacity than an F350

 

they offer the 4:10 in the 450?

 

4.30 or 4.88 I ordered the 535 option and got the 4.88

4:30, I want the top end along with the bigger brakes then my 350

 

4:30 here - wanted 350/650 hp and torque - hope for that extra 1mpg lol

 

My 05 was ordered with the 4.30's. Plenty of pulling power, and 2-3 more mpg while on long trips. City mileage is the same. I would definately order the 4.30 rear again. THe F450's are speed limited to about 82 from the factory. Add the SCT, & it will bury the speedo with 4.30's.

 

"SCT" whats thaqt short for?

 

I think I'll order the 4.30's with the 6 speed manual, then install the gear vendor overdrivce on it. I should get a final drive of about 3.30's. This way I should get best of both worlds, good towing as well as fuel economy.

 

SCT is a chip company basically.
