Have you tried it? I mean unplugging the transmission module or the sensors on your 6.0 to see what happens? I'm thinking of trying it with my 6.0 to see if it will work. I do know that I've yet to see a car built that dosen't operate in a default mode if the sensors information is not available.
A TorqShift shifts by solenoids changing their output pressure per commands of the PCM. If the PCM isn't there what will supply current to the solenoids at the proper time to make the shift happen?
A TorqShift (and 4R100) will operate in one gear if there is no PCM. In the 4R100 it's overdrive, I think the TorqShift will default to 4th gear (1:1) with no PCM. So yes, it will operate, but only as a 1 speed trans.

Unplug yours and see what you get.
I guess I need a helm manual to ascertain what to disconnect. Only way I would know what to disconnect. Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the engine and tranny control systems without buying a helm? Never yet seen a system that didn't revert to a default mode that didn't allowed vehicle operation without sensor inputs. When I got mad at my F150 abs system I unplugged the control module and all that happened was I no longer had abs.
The TorqShift does allow vehicle operation when disconnected. Like all other electronic automatic transmissions it only allows 1 gear when disconnected. I think that gear in a TorqShift is 4th gear.
