Howdy. I have a '73 f100 302 c4 2wd and coolant had started to leak from under dash. I've disconnected the coolant hoses figuring I will need to get the core repaired at a radiator shop. Unfortunatly I don't have a clue how to get it out. Somebody told me I had to go through the glove box. All I've succeeded in doing is removing the six screws that hold the cardboard insert in, but the insert won't come out unless I destroy it. That can't be right. I'm sure the whole glove box unit is removable, But I'll be darned if I can see how it's done. Any body here ever done this before? Am I even approaching this right? Any help is appreciated.
I'm getting ready to change mine. Hopefully I will get to it this weekend. I will post if/when I get it done. Mine is a '74, so it shouldn't be much different.
In the mean time, if anyone has any helpful hints ...
1975Ford, thanks for all the info. I appreciate your willingness to share. It's this kind of participation that makes these forums such a great resource. The level of knowledge and experience found in these forums is truly impressive. I look forward to be able to help someone else with what little I know. But that would mean they know less than me....can't be many of those people around. Thanks again.
