Quick ?
I have an03 expy and was wondering if there is one of those cabin filters that need to be replaced periodicly i ask because i notice a different type of smell when the heat is on not antifreeze or anything just kinda funky smelling. If there is one how hard is it to replace yourself and where is it located. Thanks in advance.

I have the 2001 and was told about cabin filters also. It seems we are told in the manual they are there, yet know one I know seems to have them. Mine has that same funky smell when first turned on. I am bumping this request up, maybe someone knows how we can get some and install them anyway.

Apparently they do, 'cause here's someone who sells them for my 2000XP:

Not all have cabin air filters
The repair manual for my 99 indicates the cabin air filter is behind the golve box.
Then it has a footnote that says not all vehicles have cabin air filter - only those with a filter cover in the location shown have filter.
So look behind the glove box - if there is a door for a filter, you have one
