Here in Ontario, diesel price Flying J, London Ontario, .79.4 per litre x 3.7854= conversion from Litre to US gallon $ 3.0056 x US exchange rate of approx. 1.18 = $ 3.546 Canadian funds per US gallon. Reg unleaded was .74.9 at same station. You guys are gettin a deal.
Still wouldn't drive a car.
I'm a carpenter around the Seattle / Bellevue area and live in Edmonds ( Of Washington ) , and I've seen diesel prices from $3.04 to $2.65 . How do they get away with this $@*#.
Yesterday, it was 2.399 in Forest Lake, just north of the Twin Cities. Gas(87) is 1.899 at the same station. I may have to go fill up before they jack the price again. Gas can fluctuate up to $.25/gallon overnight(always up, never down) and diesel stays the same, wonder why that is
Crazy, I really wish we were paying around $2.50 or under. We have 2 refineries up here and they truck it past us all day long and we still pay more in Bellingham because of "shipping costs." I actually heard that from the CFO at the local refinery. I just don't get it. I assume I never will though... I remember when I bought my truck my Wife and I were able to justify the extra cost of the truck payment on the savings of fuel from gas to diesel, at the time diesel was quite a bit less than gas. I got to fuel my truck up ONCE (yes once) at less than unleaded price. My Wife has never let me live that one down. It was the basis for my argument at the time for getting the loud beast. ( she has since settled down and likes the purr of the diesel on long trips.)
I sold my ife on the idea of saveing money cause Disel was cheaoer and got better milage.... no sooner had I said & bought my truck , disel became more expenceive than regular gas...... I could sell the truck tomarrow and Diesel would drop back down to what it was berfore all this...... sorry guys.
O.k. I filled up yesterday a.m. before a trip back and forth to BHAM it was 2.37 this AM I was driving around and found it for 2.30, so even though I had over 1/2 a tank I went ahead and filled up.
For those that are near a refinery and are paying more. Remember your local and state and county/parrish taxes are all figured in there, as well as any special education taxes, road taxes, make your congressman richer taxes, etc.... The price of fuel out of the refinery is set regionally every day. go here and look http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/gdu/gasdiesel.asp
