Ballast Resistor or not ??

Ballast Resistor or not ??

I have 1969 F250 with a 360 that I am changing the distributor to a Mallory Unilite. The truck is totally stock so far. Will I need to install a ballast resistor for the Unilite. ?? Thanks In Advance. Jim.

I'm pretty sure they run on 12V so no...no ballast resistor.

I think you may need one, if I found the instructions for the same dist you have. Try this link.
