I have just purchased a 1955 F250, and I am having the same dilemma. Do I restore it, or do I make it comfortable for highway cruising? Anyway, you need to check out www.dennis-carpenter.com.
He has an excellant assortment of parts. I have also ordered other catalogs. Buy an issue of Classic Trucks magazine, and you will find all sorts of advertisements with catalogs for sale and web sites. Good luck on your project!!

I think that Advance Adapters will have the conversion components you need, at least thats what everyones been telling me. I haven't had time lately to call and find out for sure, I do have a landcruiser though that uses their adapters for the 350 chevy engine thats in it. I don't think there is a listing on their homepage (www.advanceadapters.com) but you should try calling them.

I have a 57 as well. I am making it into a cruiser.I don't think these have much value now restored. That could change. I have put a Lincoln Town Car front clip, engine, and trans in mine. I have also installed the rear end to make the track line up (and give better mileage and braking). I know Sacremento Vintage Ford makes any kind of mount and crossmember for about any kind of engine in the 57 - 60 model years. There are many others as well.
Good luck.

Just my 2 cents worth.
What are your plans for this rig? Is it going to be a Concours restoration trailer queen, or do you plan on driving it? Personally, if you plan on driving it, I'd upgrade it with newer components. If you like the body, then make it a sleeper with the body remaining stock, and the wheels appearing stock.

I plan on mine being a daily driver. I have been working in my house of late and the truck has been sitting. I still want to make the EFI work, but I'm close to trashing it and installing a conventional set up just to get it on the road. I want to get regular smoothy wheels, but my wife likes the radical mags. I bet I'll win when she sees the price difference.
