power steering for 59-6? 4x4 f-100 or f-250
I have a 1960 f-100 4x4. I would like to know if someone has put power steering in their truck and how they did it. I can fabricate almost anything, but it would be real nice to see if someone has found an easy way using production parts if possible. I have completely redone everything on my truck 351c with c6 swap, power brakes, detroit lockers, 35 inch BFGs, and have found parts and sources for everything else if anyone needs help finding parts. My email is mightygreentruck(No Email Addresses In Posts!).

There are a couple of ways one is the ram assist which works like the steering used in the late 60 ford full size cars, and I beleive is made from ford parts, I've seen them advertised for about $550. This system uses your original steering box, so if it is worn you will still get alot of play in the front end. Or you can use a early 80"s Toyota 4X4 box, I've never seen it done but there are a couple of guys on this message board who have done it.
