Has anyone heard of the dinger sounding with the speedo? My truck chimes at me when I go over 74-75mph. I talked to the Ford dealer and they didn't know anything, I think its aftermarket but I hate it and wish the old owner never put it in, it does keep me going slow on the freeway, no tickets yet!! Thanks for any thoughts,

HELP/ does not apply to 2008.
I have read all posts and would be impressed if i owned a 07 back, but i cannot find anything in any thread that applys to an 08. Any help would be great
Since this is the thread that is referrred to in the tech folder I figured I should add these pics/instructions here too. To disable the key in ignition chime follow the following steps.
This procedure took me about 5 minutes to do in the parking lot of the store while I was waiting for my father to come back out.
You can also access this black wire with pink tracer behind the kick panel on the drivers side in this connector.
You can cut the wire here if you don't care about being able to put it back together later, or if you have the proper tools you could pull the pin out of the plug and tape it up here.
This will disable the key in ignition chime. On some vehicles the drivers door will unlock itself whenever it is locked from the switch on the inner door panel. It can still be locked using the keypad 7-8 9-0 keys or the keyless entry keyfob, or by pressing the **** down manually.
Al of these pictures were taken in a 2007 f-350, but they should be comparable to all 99-07 Super Duties.
