Ive also got a backup beeper cancel button. It gets pretty annoying backing up with the tailgate down or backing up to the fiver.....Just punch it off and no more beep...

Read the earlier posts on disabling the seat belt dinger, does anyone know if that will work on an 08 F150 FX4?? My buddy has one and that dinger drives him nuts so I'm sure it would be worth a case of beer to him for me to tell him how to disable it, haha. Thanks

It is slightly different for the 08 F150. Tell him to look on pages 181-182 of his Owner's Guide for the instructions.

Just cut the blue and gray on mine. Dinger gone. It works with no side effects on 08 forward. It sure is nice when it's easy...

FYI...just tried disabling the seat belt minder via Ford's manual instructions. 7 times I tried. Each time ensuring parking brake set, trans in park, headlights off. Never did the little seat belt light come back on. 9 times, 7 tries. Nothing. ....going for the wire under the seat.

Has anyone heard of the dinger sounding with the speedo? My truck chimes at me when I go over 74-75mph. I talked to the Ford dealer and they didn't know anything, I think its aftermarket but I hate it and wish the old owner never put it in, it does keep me going slow on the freeway, no tickets yet!! Thanks for any thoughts,

Mershon Gardner

Ummm, You may want to search more for your answer, as this post is now 4 years old, and has been revived a few times.

I just skimmed the thread up to this point, but for the seatbelt beeper, I just plug my center seatbelt into the drivers side receptacle.

This procedure took me about 5 minutes to do in the parking lot of the store while I was waiting for my father to come back out.

You can also access this black wire with pink tracer behind the kick panel on the drivers side in this connector.

You can cut the wire here if you don't care about being able to put it back together later, or if you have the proper tools you could pull the pin out of the plug and tape it up here.

This will disable the key in ignition chime. On some vehicles the drivers door will unlock itself whenever it is locked from the switch on the inner door panel. It can still be locked using the keypad 7-8 9-0 keys or the keyless entry keyfob, or by pressing the **** down manually.

Al of these pictures were taken in a 2007 f-350, but they should be comparable to all 99-07 Super Duties.
