In Colorado and other Western states I've noticed a pickup rear bumper the locals call "western style". It wraps around rear of truck like a "u"from fender to fender. Running from the bumper upwards to the boxside on each side is a heavy iron brace offering additional support to the boxsides. Does anyone know if this was a Ford or dealer accessory or only an aftermarket product?

 

That is a aftermarket bumper. Ford only offered a straight bumper for the rear of their trucks.

I have one I found on the side of the road, I just got a 50 f1 but do not plan to use it. I did not as yet measure the width but is the rap around type. Its your If you are ever in the Palmdale lancaster area of Southern Calif. Ed
