i recently bought an 04 f350 w overhead console. no matter what i do i cant get compass to lock on...stays in "cal" mode. any suggestions...thnx

 

Rip it out, throw it out the driversside window. Whichever way it bounces is north!!! Make sure you are driving when attempting this!

 

I have a 2004 250 SD. My manual says to drive in a circle (empty parking lot) several times to calibrate the unit. I can look at my manual for more details..not sure if this will help you, but it beats throwing it out of the window!!!
