My F-150 ran fine until started intermittant missing. The RPMs would surge and drop and the truck would die. Once stopped it would start fine and go a couple miles before repeating the problem.
The MSD ignition tested bad and I removed it. I also replaced the ignition module and the truck ran fine for a week when the same problems returned. This time it wouldn't crank after dying. It turned out that the coil pickup at the bottom of the distributor was fried. I replaced that and it ran fine for 5 days before the same problems arose. This is getting old. Any thoughts.
Thanks, Dave
