I have a 89 460 that is just a offroad toy. I am going to get a set of headers for it. I was wondering the pros and cons between L&L doug thorley or banks the L&Ls are cheaper. Is there a reason why? thanks
Got a set of L&L ultra flows on my 78 f150 with a basicaly stock 460. I love them. Good thick flanges, pulled them down tight and they stayed tight. Never owned any other header and I sure dont see any reason to switch.
plus you cant beat the l&l lifetime warranty
just get the full length headers, chassis exit- theyre best for low end and midrange torque, the fenderwell exit shorties would be a little better for top end but not enough to make up for the low end torque loss

I have a set of L&L chasis exit headers on my 77 150 460 and wouldn't buy anything else. installed them 3 1/2 years ago and have had zero issues. A buddy of mine has had a good expierence with the lifetime warranty as darrin1999 said, he just had to pay shipping cost. -Ed
