Seriously. I just ordered mine even though I bought and installed a new napa relay last month.

Man, I have to admit that I just looked at the write-up. Excellent as usual but I knew it would be so it was not necessary to look. I was impressed with the sheer bulk of that unit. Again, another excellent write-up and pics.

Dang I wished I would of read this post yesterday. Darn GPR went out and I would sure liked to have that big one, instead of the little BORG-WARNER relay I put in. Anyway, thank you Guzzle for the great write-up.

That thing would power the Death Star gun in Star Wars!
When mine goes that's what I am getting. Nice find and your usual world class write up there, Guzzle.

Thought I would post a quick update since today we had a -3º F morning and 15º F the previous mornings since the upgrade.

I have noticed that the engine will start much easier with only 30 seconds of WTS before crank with only a very slight amount of smoke.
Previously with the old 109, when the temperature was around 0, I usually had to cycle the GPs twice and it had to turn over 2-3 times more before starting than it does now. I was also seeing a small cloud of smoke for just a few seconds after starting.

So, the SOTP feeling is that with the new relay, the GPs are warming the cylinders MUCH quicker giving me the easier starts in cold weather.

i hope this gets rid of my slow start issue. its only the first start of the day, but its slower than i'd like it to be. I know its cuz of the cooler weather. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for the write up guzzle.

I have a V10 Excursion, but I'm thinking about putting one in, even if it doesn't do anything just because it looks beastly... Maybe I'll wire it to some seat-warmers

I know its already been said, but awesome write-up. I don't have enough patience to take that many pics and stuff, but im glad someone does!

Thanks for the update. I wouldn't have thought the GPR would have that much effect on start time. Good to know though. If mine ever does go south, I know what I'll be getting.

I didn't either but because difference was so apparent, I had to mention it here.

With that said, it could be because the internal contacts are new and not burnt. By next winter it could possibly be in the same condition as my 109.
