Gauge Ground
Since I bought my truck the trans gauge in my a pillar hasnt worked right. It bounces around all day and drives me nuts. I have been told that most of the time it is the ground site where most companys ground them. I messed with the ground and it seem to work for a little while. Where have you guys grounded your gauges out to. I am thinking of running the ground out to the battery and trying that.

The gauge ground or the sender ground. If it is a one wire sender it grounds to the tranny case through the threads. On the gauge ground I use the metal support just below the fuse panel and never had a problem.

If you put teflon on the sender it won't work right. It grounds throught the sender. I ran the gauge ground common with all the others so if it doesn't groun none of them work.(Except Boost)

I didnt install the gauges they where in the truck when i got it. I grounded it out the factory grounds under the dash, seems to be working better, but I will see how it wrks tomorow. I did crawl under the truck and looks to be that when they installed the guage they just plugged the wires into the existing sender for the tranny, is this how they usually do it?
