I have been racing 1/4 mile oval super stock 4cyl, for three years now. Cheapest form of racing and it is such a blast. The car is a 89' toyota celica. pretty good car, it is a top 5 car with one feature win under its belt. Hopefully I will step up to the super stock v-8 when I am out of school.
i have been drag racing for a few months now. i run a 65 falcon with a bored and stroked 351 turned it to a 408. my grandfather who is an old ford nut helped me build the car during summer vaction. best time so far is 10.65 1/4 mile.

Thats a pretty good looking car. I know what you mean about the cheating. Thats why i never can get any better position. The car choice here is the honda civic hatchbacks. Most of the cheating here is with the suspension. I will try to post a pic of my car.
The gallery pic did work, but for some reason it is not now. It might have been removed since it is not a ford truck. Not too computer savy. Any way just picture your car with a nice lime green paint job that is known to the track as "frog in a blender green".
Well I haven't been racing lately but I did a lot of karting for a couple years. I am now prepping road course cars, mainly Mazda's. I have a '79 RX7 touring car that I am rebuilding.
Here is a pic of my setup. I've sold the trailer and the car will be raced by a friend this year with me as the owner. The cost is too high and I just don't have the time to run it myself this year.
By the time all the motors are built, suspensions finished, fuel and oil is purchased, we'll have about $30K into this race season... good thing its not all my money...
