What is best Programmer for 6.0 diesel?

Looking for some advise on what programmer i should go with for my 2003 F-350 diesel. I very rarely pull anything with my truck, its basically used for street/off-road use the most. Just looking for some extra horses/torque to play with. Basically i want to be able to smoke some other Cummins and Duramax's when im lined up at a stop light. But i dont want to totally compromise hurting the engine.

any help is greatly appriciated!

If you just look down through at the other posts you'll see tons already written asking the same question.

The answer, everytime, is: Get an SCT from one of the online vendors here with custom written tunes and some form of gauges. EGT gauge bare minimum.

SCT hands down---infinite adjustability, for all practical purposes, in the hands of the right custom tuner. You really need to start with a set of gauges first, then an exhaust--just to let you know what's really going on with your truck.

Go with the SCT Xcal or the new SCT Livewire which is the tuner and gauges in one package. Give us a call we can set you up with either.

Purchased the Hypertech, Hyperpac which is a tuner and monitor...a friend had purchased it for his 2006 F350 w/6.0 PSD.. I have a 2006 F250 w/6.0 PSD w/4WD .
I previously owned a Dodge 2500 4wd w/the Hemi and purchased the Superchip flashpaq tuner for it and was only mildly impressed.. thus I was reluctant to purchase another tuner with only limited value. I was most interested in fuel efficiency.. the Hyperpac solved the problem... traveling over the Holidays to Kansas and back to Atlanta I was getting 23-24 mpg.. (25.4 on the dash computer) prior to that the best I good do was about 18 traveling 70 - 75 MPH.. if I keep it below 65 its even better... I have set it for the performance step "3" which firms up the shifting.. like night and day.. the truck responds when you step on the accelerator....instead of hearing hte engine rev and watch the boost pressure increase... I can't tell you how the Superchip for the 6.0 would perform but I can tell you the Hyperpac is amazing.. it all has the monitor and recorder on it which gives a lot more information on what is going on with the vehicle.

Hey there 03, I just bought the new version of Edge's Evolution and I'm very impressed. It comes with the Attitude type monitor and a factory looking pod for it to sit in. Check out Edge's website for more info. Like I said before I'm very pleased and it was affordable.

if your gonna tune a powerstroke, there is only one man to see,
Jody T. at DP TUNER, he has mastered tuning of the powerstroke, and he can put his tunes on his SCT. check it out, that is if you want the best hp, best torque and lowest egts.
