F150 transmission crossmember removal
I was fixing to change the transmission oil and filter for the first time today. When I got under the truck to unbolt the crossmember thats holding the transmissions weight, i saw two bolts at the top of each side of the beam bolted to the top of the frame. And two bolts on each side holding on to the radius arm anchors, and two bolts are on the trans support itself. The bolts are not the problem though, what I need to know is how do you move it back with the transfer case in the way,and how do you move it forward with the headers in the way. There has to be some tricks to the romoval of this crossmember, anybodybody know one.
