Mediocre Heating and Cooling
My Expy has the automatic climate control. When it's cooling, it cools okay, but the air coming out of the vents isn't exceptionally cool. When it's heating, it warms up okay, but the air coming out of the vents isn't exceptionally warm. This was brought to light in a rather profound way when I was driving my 95 Bronco around the other day. I had the (manual controlled) heater on with the temperature control all the way up. That thing like to have driven me out of the truck it was so hot after awhile!
In the Expy, even if I put the temperature on 90° and slow the fan down, it will blow warm air...and it will get warmer inside, but I never feel that really HOT air coming out of the vents. Is this pretty much normal for the automatic climate control? Again, this isn't a case of blowing hot air when it's hot outside and blowing cold air when it's cold outside. It heats or cools as appropriate...it just doesn't seem to be all that....passionate...about doing it.
I only worry because we may be taking a trip up north where it gets COLD outside, and I'm imagining it would be nice to have HOT air coming out of the vents when it's -40° outside!
Thanks for the answers!
