I would highly consider the Superchips 1805 Flashpaq. Very safe, great shifting, low smoke, great power. I have it on my 05 F350 and it runs awesome!!!

SCT xCal2 with custom tunes. I bought mine from Innovative Diesel, but there's also Long Island Performance Diesel (LIPD), DJ's Performance, Elite Diesel and a few others. The SCT with tunes written by any of these guys will be safest on the tranny and control the EGT's. When I ran my tow tune, my EGT's never got over 1200, even with 8500 lb boat behind me.

6L PWR is correct, a custom setup from anyone of those guys would be the way to go. A Custom tuned SCT will be the best for your transmission, and the Turbo breaking is a great feature. I dont think anyone else does that at this time, but I have been wrong before. Products change constantly, and are hard to keep up with when you carry as many brands as we do.We sell alot of the Innovative custom Xcals with rave review. I personally run it on my 05, and I couldnt be happier. I have played with all of the others, and nothing compares to a good custom tune. Most custom tuners will cost more than other market programmers, but do you really want the lowest bidder in the cpu of your 50k dollar truck?

just my opinion...not biblical fact lol.

Hello I am new to the diesel end of the Superduty. Just traded my '05 gas hog V-10 for a '07 6.0. I have been reading the treads here and I am definatley thinging of a SCT XCAL 2.I was wondering what is the general price of this model. How many miles should I have in the motor before I do a little tweaking? I have a 4x4 drw flatbed dump w/tourqeshift. I tow 10-12k regular. If I were to talk with www.elite-diesel.com or www.lipd.com and tell them my info would they be able to make me some tunes that would benefit me? Can I do a little tuning without upgrading exaust componets? Thanks any input would be helpful.
