How many panel owners are there
#211
Not an owner of this one but its caretaker until my nephew comes back and gets it.
There is a lot of history with this one. It used to belong to my father n law, and when he passed 15 years ago he left it to his grandson.( my wife's brother's son)
The inlaws used to live in Dixie Washington, which is about 10 miles out of Walla Walla Washington. He bought the panel up there around 1981 or so and when they moved back to so cal around 1983 he brought it down with him.
He had a chevelle frt frame clip insatalled and then put a small block chevy and th350 trans. He had it painted Candy Apple Red. This panel has been to Sturgis 3 or 4 times, Michigan a couple of times and lots of road time here in Calif.
Right now it is tired and rusty and ready for a full restoration.

A Little Help, Please .........
I've got a stock '56 panel, just back on the road after 8 year resto. We didn't take pictures of the passenger seat and now I can't figure out how to attach the arm that actuates the rear support bar. If anyone else still has a stock passenger seat I would really appreciate a picture of the mounting hardware.
Thanks
Thanks

I've got 95% of the mechanicals done. 302 c-4, volare front end, 9"rear,etc.,
Just need to find the leak in my brakes and wire it. I am currently doing the filler work on it and will maybe, if everything goes well, get it in paint the next couple of weeks.

My '48 Panel is probably the longest on/off going project on this forum. Twenty some years. 289/auto that it had when I bought it as a barely running driver. Made the mistake of picking at a bondo bubble on the rear quarter. Next thing I knew it was totally blown apart for a frame off rebuild. Dropped axle with reveresed eye springs - springs not swapped yet. Dwight Bond rear lowering kit. Still have to do plumbing, electrical and A/C, mount the Toyota 4x4 power steering box, and make new motor mounts to clear everything. Oh yeah, and mount the body. Bodywork is 95% finished and firewall is painted the final color. Using Mercury grille and trim and '50 Merc wheels and hubcaps. Now that I've unearthed it again after a major garage cleanup it's time to get back on it.

56 Panel Passenger seat hardware
Thanks guys for the help. Looks like the '56 seats were different. I took hundreds of pictures but I didn't get this one minor detail. Good news is; the seat still works good and some day I may come across that one piece of hardware........
I've put about a thousand miles on since we got her back on the road and I'm loving it. Guess I'm getting used to her little "eccentricities," it sure isn't like driving a new car. She make ya work for it! LOL
