I did. It has proven to be great for protection, but it was a pain. It sagged in a few places, and got grainy in others. I could probably spend more time on it to make it better, but it is good enough for me. I recommend you use it, but be prepared to spend time making it right.
We have it here in quarts and gallons.I have two gallons of gloss white that I am going to try this weekend if possible. It says to thin with acitone only but it being a oil base paint does anyone know of anything that would make it spray out better?
rustoleum is the same as tremclad..or most other off the shelf hardware store brands
comes in quarts, gallons, spray cans
I have used it with great but short lived results...I have put a spray laquer over it many many times..it always came out nice and seemed to last longer
I would try a test panel on a scrap piece of metal..I am not sure about using the higher quality clearcote on the poor quality paint..
my new paint of choice is epoxy primer..just set it and forget it...
when it comes time to paint with a colour..the epoxy can wait in the weather till your wallet catches up to you!
make sure that your rustoleum is good and cured, I would use a flat, as opposed to semi gloss finish, trying to lessen the chances of interaction between the gloss making chemicals
Honestly..I have painted about 4 trucks with rustoleum...always thining it with unleaded gas, before I spayed it
