hello all. well the stacks have been on for about a month but never got around to gettin the pictures back. I couldnt put them up in my gallery because my computer wont let it. the link is in my sig...let me know what you guys think. happy holidays!!!!
hahaha cookie, naa I just had to adjust the tower with a BFH. thanks for being patient with me. Im only 20 years old...for my age, I should know alot about these things but naa, id rather be wrenchin. PICS ARE IN THE GALLERY!!! let me know if they worked.
thanks guys, yeah i goofed... my computer froze when i was typin it and i forgot to set the album name straight. yeah cookie I welded them up. went to a chrome shop and ordered everything seperate and did it myself. everyone has "the kit" now a days. just wanted to be different. I also paid about $400 more than i wanted, but in the end it was worth it. yeah stroker, they're stainless
Looks good nice job on the build and install. What did the in bed piping run minus the stacks? I gotta rebuild my 6" mitre cuts one of these days as I don't like the square tubing used from the PO.
I see you have a stage 2 torque converter but hate it, where is it from?
I'm thinking of getting one custom built for $1500 canadian with life time warrenty. triple disc and I can select my own stall speed in which like my buddy with his dodge has a 600 stall, shift the thing in gear and the truck jerks, its a really nice solid shift and off the line is amazing, throttle response too is a kick in the pants. I was thinking of an 800rpm stall personally given the nature of the beat of the PS, from what I've read, the stockers are about 1800rpm which is alot of slippage
thanks for the compliments fellas, tj, it was about 1000 with everything. I also ran all new pipe from the dp. dp exits at 3.5" so i got a 3.5"-4" reducer. ran 1 foot of 4"pipe into a flowmaster outlaw muffler (if you saw the inside of this thing, you would be mad you paid almost $90 for it but the truck sounds better than my buddy's, SP'ed) into a 4"-5" reducer, 5" 90 degree up into the home made y. then up stairs, theres a splitter tee, just under 2 foot of 5" pipe, and 2 more 5" 90 degree elbows. stainless peterbilt clamps and stainless seal clamps. whew. total for pipe ... $480 with out muffler, clamps or stacks. Dave, the guy who rebuilt it said he put in a stage 2 towing convertor, but for all i know its a pos. it was fine for towing and put puttin but once i got my mods, it all went down hill.
