best way to clean under the hood

What's the best way to clean under the hood of a FSB Bronco? Clean that sucker to make it look like it just came from the factory...

On a COLD engine I liberally spray Simple Green, and let it sit for about 1/2 hour. During this time I use a combination of a sponge and a brush to hit really heavy spots, I then carefully rinse the bay and motor. I blow it dry with a leaf blower, then follow up with about 1/2 can of tire foam.

That's a winning combination. I think the word "carefully" was missing in my last experiment- I did not rinse carefully and fried both headlights

I spray it down with orange blast that i get from Wal-Mart, let it it sit for about 5-10 min then rince it off with my electric pressure washer. After i rince it i start the truck and blow it off with my leaf blower, then follow up with the tire shine.
