Does anyone make a radial tire for a 1948-1950 F1 that doesn't look so modern? I'm switching back to the original skinny 16" rims/tires for more ground clearance and would like a tire that sits like a bias, and looks original, but makes more sense. Picture an 18 wheeler big rig tire in smaller scale. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks.

Hi,
I have run into the same problem, and, not living in a very large area, there's not much around to choose from. The other reply you got mentioned COKER, they DO have ALOT of tires, but I couldn't find a 16" Radial with a WIDE whitewall.
I got a catalog from DIAMOND BACK CLASSICS (800) 922-1642, and they *DO* have 16" radial whitewalls (along with alot of other stuff).
COKER even had some FORD whitewall (bias ply) tires that would fit... they've got a good selection...
