Clutch click

I got this somewhat obvious "click" as I push in and let out on the clutch. It does it one time when I push in, one time when I let out. Clutch works fine, disengages fully, temp of air or engine doesn't matter, clutch has got good life left, fluid's fine.

I know that lubing the linkage is a maintenance item, which has probably been neglected by the previous owner, and I sure haven't done it. What do I lube it with?

I use white lithium grease in a spray can...

i have seen the fingures on clutches click when the clutch is pressed. i dont know how you would ever lube that though.....

Is the noise coming from the pedal (up under the dash), or inside the bellhousing?

The pedal, I can feel it when I press or release the clutch as well...just a small click...almost like a ratchet.
