50 fenders
I think rsellers was looking at the rear fenders of the trucks. If that's the case, they should be the same for all F1 models from 1948 through 1950. I don't have the parts book (Barry?) but Obsolete Ford Parts and a couple of other suppliers list the part numbers as RH = 7C-16312-FG and LH = 7C-16313-FG for fiberglass replacements for all these years. I didn't find anyone with steel replacements for trucks before 1953.

Yes, the previous post was correct in the description and the notch. Also the F-2 fenders are longer and use the notch for all 4 years. The fenders have a straight line or crease that runs the length of the fenders. One way to tell which bed is right is the top rails are on a 45 degree and the later beds (53 and on ) have the top rail that lies flat and is wide.

The "notch" appeared halfway through 1950. When I bought mine, I had a choice of 2 seemingly identical trucks side by side. I picked the one I did because it seemed to have more style to the box. I later realized that the other one had flat boxsides, and later still learned that both were stock production for that year.
Be careful if you are shopping sight unseen for fenders, the 1950 could go either way.
Good luck with your project,
