The best & worst mail order F-1, F-100 parts supplers

I have not bought from any of them yet, but have not got very far on my restoration. I have heard various nightmare stories about who to avoid and so forth, and I sure don't want to order a part I really need and hear it is like 6 to 8 weeks before delivery! Also, some of the truck parts places seem to be competitive in some parts, quite low in others and extrremely high in yet others. For example LMC truck in their catalog has side windows for about $50 which many others don't even carry, but want a small fortune for the lower radiator grill panel, at $349.95, but only $11.95 for their gas pedal pad. Go figure! Who do you feel are the worst or best?

Mid fifty is good, but I stick with Dennis over at Recks and Relics. Good man, and he is real personable.

I have had great experience with Hot Rod's in Ohio, Mid-Fifty and Mac's F100s in OK. We are fortunate to have so many vendors to choose from on these old trucks. Most are very professional.

Personally, I like C&G (Calif.) and JobLot (N.Y.). I'm driving distance from Little Dearborn (Minn.) and they're good if I'm in a hurry.

I've used several and Mid-fifty, no limit and Mas's antique auto parts are pretty fast and realible. Bob's F-100 has a lot of tech information to go along with they parts but for me they take a long time to get here.

Ok....I'll put in my 2 cents worth... I like Sacramento Vintage Ford. Great catalog (real pictures) and they have never given me a bad part. For the fastest delivery...try LMC...... jim

:-(
I would not recommend anyone use ZIGS. I purchased a Mustang II kit from them for my 1950 F1. When all the parts diden't arrive the problems did.

I favor Hot Rods also! Nothing but great service for parts ordering, price and delivery, and one on one help with advice and guidance on working on my 50 F1. The owner; Rodney is the greatest! If you order from him, tell him Ron Harmsen the Air Force guy with a 50 F1, told you about him.

Does anybody have a website or phone number for Hot Rod's? I can't seem to find them anywhere on the web.

Thanks in advance

Nobody carries these because there are glass shops in every average size town who can cut these for you much cheaper. I had one made for $25.00 for my 53.

It's www.hotrodstrucks.com I believe. At least the owner listed at that site is Rodney.

That's Hot Rod's website and his ph number is 1 800 236-0046 I agree Rod is great to work with. Also have only good to say about Bob Drake's(OR), Sacramento Vintage Ford(CA), Red's Headers(CA), Patrick's(AZ), Mac's Antique Auto Parts(NY), Mack Products(MO), Obsolete Ford Parts(OK), Hot Rod & Custom Supply(FL). - Tim

Rod from Hot Rod's won me over a few months ago when I was shopping for a front fender. Supposed to be truck shipped only for big bucks. He had UPS bring it to me two days later and I saved over 30 bucks on shipping. He knows the tricks and helps you out when he can.

I've had good dealings with this site's online store. The parts were just as described, and were delivered quickly
2 thumbs up.
