1960 F100 wiring harness

Hi,

I own a 60 F100 (4x4) and am very proud of it. What i have learned over the years is that the 60 Ford truck is an odd duck. Many of the 59 parts or 61 parts don't apply for the 60.

Currently I am trying to fix the wiring on the old lady but it isn't easy for me. First of all, most of the existing harness has been spliced and messed with by previous owner(s) that I am having a hard time finding out where goes what.

So far, I have not been able to locate a good replacement. Neither could I find an easy to read wiring diagram.

Is there anybody who can help me out with that?

Greatful,
C. Brudi

Owning two 60 trucks I fully understand the parts availabilty situation. Frankly, the wiring is so simple on these trucks that you can go buy an after market wiring kit and do the beast in a day. Macs has some of what you need. Good luck

fer sure......
buy an aftermarket kit & be done with it,
the only 2 wiring variations i have ever come across on these trucks is the 57-58 which has an external ballast resistor and the 59-60 which has an internal 'resistor wire' as far as the early 60s 1-2-3 & later on "e-series" fer sure they are all much the same in that they use the same color wires to do the same jobs. i've been working on 55-65 ford products pretty steady since early 80s so there isn't much in wiring problems i haven't come across.
if you are real stuck and don't wanna spend the couple three hundered on a aftermarket harness kit email me direct 'economan(No Email Addresses In Posts!)' & i can send you a nice clear photocopy of a ford wiring harness outta a falcon/econoline book it's identical same as a 59-60 f series
