when i go over a speed bump, i cant really explain the sound but it sounds like a rubbing sound, it only does it when the suspension goes up and down, thats why it only does it when you go over a speed bump. its on the front end that does and i go over the bumps slowly. its a 2002 supercab with only 39,000 miles on it and i bought it with 37,000 on it about a month ago. could this be bushings, ball joints, or could it need new shocks?
any help is appreciated

I knew someone who had a noise comming from the front end every time they hit a bump. It ended up being the bolt breaking off that holds the sway bar down on one end. Check your sway bar at each end to be sure it is connected.
That would be sway bar links.... How about you just have someone with some weight to them jump on u're bumper and you listen for the noise? Rock that truck like it was goin over the bump. Replication of enviroment is the key to finding the problem....
If you don't find anything broken or disconnected, you may just need to lubricate the bushings and grommets. Use silicone or other non-petroleum lubricant.
Yup...my truck also makes the noise, even when hitting certian bumps in the road. It's the sway bar ends hitting the links that are still on the A-arms. I need to go ahead and just take them off.
