1999 f250 blowing 30amp fuse
I have a 99 F250 powerstroke 7.3 the moment I turn the ignition on it blows a 30 amp fuse that is said to be fuse for , fuel filter and waste gate. now the truck the last few days warm and cold has made a horendos loud air blowing sound out of the exhaust. But now I am getting the 30 amp fuse under the dash blowing out as soone as my wait to strat light comes on.
I did read if I dissconect the fuel heater that will resolve this issue. Where do I dissconect the fuel heater at to try ??
Also I read that these trucks on very cold days will make a loud noise on cold days that sounds like a massive air leak. I did add a 4" exhaust system but I have no clue if my truck has a custom program or not. I purchased the truck used about 5 months ago.
I hope somone has had this problem that can tell me how to resolve please.
Thanks
Ian
PS: This truck kicks a$$ in the snow. I worked the snow here in peoria like I was on a snowmobile. plus I pulled out a H2 that was stuck in the supermarket parking lot that was funny.

Welcome to FTE.
I love pulling stuck cars out of ditches when it snows.
The fuel heater plug is located on the lower rear side of the fuel filter housing, which is the round canister underneath the "Powerstroke" plastic cover on the top center of the engine. Unplug it for now until you can get it fixed. You will also lose your water in fuel sender as well. It's lead is in the same plug.
