Lifted 99 SD Headlights-Looking for Good Replacements
I have an 04 F250 and now just bought a Lifted 99 F350. It came with some aftermarket headlights that are not only awful but they're cracked and need to be replaced. I've never been that happy with the factory ones on my F250 either. Has anyone used some that really work well? How about all this HID stuff I've been hearing about? I tried searching Google and there is so much info that you don't know who to believe. Has anyone used some lights that work well and if so please give me some model numbers. These things are too expensive to go try a few. If you have any pics of what you used, my direct email is cyerger57@yahoo.com. Thanks Chris

I am really happy with my 03 headlights and Piaa bulbs. HIDs are expensive, but don't seem to have that much more light than good bulbs. I am considering doing the 05 headlights with HIDs, but not for a while.
APC made a set of projector lights that were nice. Once again rather expensive at $600/pr and used 9005/6 bulbs.

Thanks, I've done a little more research since posting this and found that the stock OEM headlights do have replacable bulbs. I didn't know that because the lights that came with the truck are aftermarket projector style and they're awful. I just never took my 04 apart to check. So I guess I'll have to source some OEM bulb holders first before buying bulbs. Saw a set on EBay but they really brought a pretty penny. I don't know what these things cost from the dealer but if they brought that much on EBay, I guess I'll have to give my first born at the dealer.
