bias ply vs. radials
I have a 53 f2 with 16" wheels and wanted to buy some big whitewalls for it. Coker only offers the wide whites in 15" in a radial. Are bias play tires really that bad or should I go ahead and buy them? I really want that ganster whites look on my truck, but don't want to suffer in return! Any opinion would be great! Thanks again guys

bias ply vs. radials
Bias Plys aren't the greatest handling tires in the world. I'd go with a radial since they are easily replaced when you're out on the road and they will handle better in all conditions. If you just plan to putt around town at low speeds then Bias should be okay. Most people I've talked to have said for safety's sake go with radials. They say to leave the bias plys to the show cars. But it all boils down to how you plan to use your truck, if it's a driver go with radials.

bias ply vs. radials
I have michelin radials on my 51F1. A benefit is it has less rolling resistance (better ride, too) than bias ply. Disadvantage is radials are a bear to turn with manual steering if you are not rolling, as in parallel parking.
It's been a while, but I bought 15" wide bias whites from Dunlop some years ago.
