With either fuel economy a factor or not, money a factor or not, I think my dream vehicle is a late 40's F-1 Farm truck. Its got to have the Flat head six, a clutch, and have the rust/some color mixed in look going for it. That right there is Heaven.
my 79 f-350 crew cab when i get it done 8ft bed, 5.9 cummins with twin turbos and a propane kit , chip, 4wd auto with a lift and 38s, duallys on back , smoke stacks, tilt front end, lockers front and rear, and a decent stereo system
either a 88 Mustang LX 5.0/5spd....well made out to be like a 306 or 347 stroker with a 5 speed and all sorts of suspension and performance goodies on it...with the pony wheels..no custom anything exterior wise, let everybody think its a "stock" 5.0 notchback.
or a 98 GT 4.6/5spd...with some go fast goodies on it, stock GT wheels stock body, just all motor and suspension...
or a 2006 F250 Crew Cab short bed Powerstroke with a small lift kit, enough to fit 36x12s on 20s, with a programmer, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, 4" exhaust..and more..
whats the point in driving a stock vehicle...its boring right?
I've changed my mind, before a said a fully lowded powerstroke truck. Now i realize, a college kid doesnt need two trucks. If I could afford it, id take an 07 Ferrari F430 red with black int. or black with red int. If not that, a saleen S7 Twin Turbo jus cuz its cool lookin and american. But yah, I can see the flood of girls runnin towards my car as I pull up at school or at the club. One can dream!
I'm changing my vote (well, not really, just elaborating on it more)...a '51-'53 Hudson Hornet, Twin H Power 308 I6 .030 over with an aluminum 262 head, a 7X cam (or maybe a bit more mild), 4-speed with selectible overdrive, and Vintage Air a/c.
