Ever buy from HOTRODSTRUCKS.com?
My friend came across them at the Ford Swap meet in Columbus, Ohio. Found out the are from New Carlisle, Ohio which is about 30 minutes from my house. I checked out there web site and downloaded the catalog. Just wondering if anyone has done any business with them?

They are good people to deal. Rodney the owner has been nice and knowledgeable in all my exchanges with him. I normally buy from Carpenters (Dan and Dennis), Mid 50's, and Hot Rod Trucks. Call me a weirdo but I have always been in favor of being able to, with exception to Mid 50's, of taking a defective part back to the counter and saying it doesn't work. Sometimes working over the phone doesn't have the same effect. Hot Rods is a mom and pop and if it that close you'd almost be crazy not to give them a chance. Just my .02. Donald

I've had very good dealings with Rod. Met him in Alliance, OH at a swap meet several years back and I can echo the other comments here.
First purchase was a cover for my '48 ash tray he sold me from his spare parts.
He also had the best price on a steering gearbox rebuild kit including worm and steering shaft. Several purchases later, all have been good!

Just got back and my wallet is a little thinner right now. They are extremely nice and were willing to bed over backwards to accomodate me. I picked up a cab mount, cowl patch, door hinge and a part of the floor pan. started getting prices on a complete bed, wiring and some air conditioning.

I cant belive this post is almost 2 years old...I can say that I have called, visited and in all around fashion bugged the crap out of Rod and Denise and they have always had a smile and helped out in every way possible. So far, just about every part that has been bought for my '53 has been from them. Cowl and floor patches, anti ratttle window trim and a weather strip kit to a complete custom bed. Matter of fact, I was supposed to go over after work and pick up a smooth valance and a reverse tilt hood hinge with some smooth running boards soon to follow. These guys get my vote!
