Junior User Anyone catch the "Trucks" show this weekend? They dedicated the entire show to project "Old School", a '53 F100 that they tore into and put back together.]
I found this in the 48/60 forum, I missed it as I had to work all weekend. If anyone hears about it coming back on please let me know, I would really like to see it.
i only ever get powerblock on the saturday and then repeated on sunday, for the last little while they have been doing stacey david reruns which is real cool, i really enjoyed teh show when he was hosting, the new guy(s) dont seem as interesting. it looks like they replaced the big guy already though, brought in another small fellow
I watched that whole build or most of it man that is a bitchin truck they built real neat show that whole series is sweet trucks, xtreme 4x4 muscle car hot rod and all that
i saw it it was a lowered 53 f100 with the badging removed and custom "old Skool" badges were replacing the ford f-100 on the side. Everything was shaved. unfortunalely had a sb 350 and 400 trans and a chev set of gears cant rem what they were. it had a super nice paint job, satin black, mmmmmm. The interior what a light grey with white either leather or vinyl with blue piping, (i think, i stopped watching after found out it was powered by the competion). it was a super nice truck tho.
david definetly had a lot more personality, as far as the new hosts, it seems as if they got rid of the big one already.........not sure, im not a religous watcher so im sure i missed something
for sure, the powerblock shows are an entirely diffrent type of automotive show. they are trying to show guys how and what they are doing to make some real beautiful machines, not as much,"hey look what came in this crate, bolt 'er up billy" i really like watching all of the powerblock shows.
Well the sad thing first, is alot of those shows are all about getting the best highest price stuff. Even the "budget" stuff they do they have a pretty good budget usually.
yeah, definetly true. but you dont have to watch any of the oterh drama ie hirings and firings, pranks. its about the cars, watching a few events. the budgets are still up there, but there is still fabrication happening. not too long ago on musclecar the big guy fabbed a four link, that was pretty cool to watch. even if they still have a budget that most of us can only dream about, they still show some stuff that is reasonable enough to be considered, and i just like waching them wrench instead of wathcing fights and other tv stuff
