1959 2x4 to 4x4

I have a friend who has a 1959 ford that he is going to convert to a 4x4. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good chassis to use. It is a long box. Not much for a lift, just a truck to drive year round. He plans on building a 400 for it, as that is what he has right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The easiest and least expensive way would be to find a complete rolling chassis from a later model Ford 4X4. You should be able to find a '73 to '86 real cheap. If you find a complete truck that has rusted out, you could also use a lot of its 12 volt accessories.
