Has anybody out there ever made there own cold air intake system? I have been looking at intake systems and dont see why a guy couldnt make his own fairly easy. I thought this might save a little money doing it that way and acheive the same results.

 

That is what we all call the kwik filter mod. It is a huge filter from fleetfilter.com 6637 and the removal of your air box. You need to have a piece of 4 inch pipe or coffee can to place in between the air cleaner and intake hose.

 

you can also take that one further, by taking a piece of 14 in long. 4 in. pipe and doing the CCV delete mod. but you pipe the turbo boot from where the CCV was straight to the 6637 filter sitting on the drivers fender, and then youve completed a few mods and have straight piped your intake, taking out that S bend rubber flex hose
