Looking for good 1951 F-2 rear end. My current rear end is very loud when I push on the gas, quiet when I let off. Too costly to rebuilt and I do not have the money or knowledge. Also looking for spare tire under bed carrier for same, thanks.

 

I have a couple of rear ends from F-1s. Are you near Central Illinois?

I know this answer is late but I would not try using parts from the F-1 1/2 ton models. I have a 51 F-3 and the only parts I could interchange were the 51 & 52 F-2 & F-3 parts. I do not know where you live but if you still require these parts you can attend the Carlisle swap meet in Carlisle PA. They have a section for Ford only. Check Hemmings Motor News or their web site for the Carlisle dates. You can find the Hemmings published monthly at most news stands. There is also a wealth of spare parts in the truck section. Once again, stick with 51-52 F-2 & F-3 parts only, to be sure of proper fits. Good Luck
