This may seem incredibly basic, but i was wondering where the safest place to set my jack beneath the '54 might be when changing a tire or working on the brakes. If i were to place jack stands what do i avoid so as not to mess up an axle housing... or change the alignment on the front axle. I may be older than this truck but i still don't know everything. When I work on my 54 f100 I usually jack it up on the corner of my leaf spring or under the middle of my front axle with a floor jack but be careful not to jack it up under the tie rod.
