I know someone here can help me - I haven't had very good luck at my local ford dealer. I have a 1993 F350 with double 20 gal fuel tanks , after years of salt , rust , and the construction bussiness the lines to the rear tank started leaking , pulled the old ones out and called to order new ones and the parts man doesn't know if the ones listed will work for diesel as well as for gas. To me the only difference would be is from the splitter to the engine , long story short I asked him ? Doesn't ford have a hot line for you guys to answer such an easy question . I guess not because it was three days ago and still haven't heard. I would go to another dealer but get 20% off on parts there , surely somebody has had to changed fuel lines . Thanks for any information.
a few months ago i replaced the lines from my rear tank to selector valve. i just used standard rubber (reinforced) fuel line hose. it does not have to be the real hi-pressure stuff either.
it takes 5/16 for the return and 3/8 for the supply line. 4 standard hose clamps also. on my f450 it took almost 10" of each to amke a neat install. hooked the new lines right to the tank and selector valve fittings.
alot better than working with those stiff plastic lines.
to answer the question the service person should have known is the plastic lines are the same the blue is the pickup and black is the return be sure to get the clips and adapters from them if you go this route cause this is a oem part i also have run a good grade of 50psi ruber on mine just watch for kinks
