There are many many other post on this subject. Look at some of the older posts and you will get an idea what people are getting, anywhere from 11mpg to 21 mpg

2006 F250 Crew Cab SD - have about 3K on clock, seeing 13.5-15.5 mixed driving, 19.5-21.5 highway at 70 MPH, and around 12 pulling my 32' travel trailer. Very satisfied thus far. Only mod is by-pass coolant filtration.

My 2003 F-350 FX4 Crew Cab long bed w/Leer Shell get an overall average of 16mpg. 1-13 city, 18-20 freeway. You'll get the best mileage on the freeway if you keep the rpm down below 2,000. About 1,800rpm = 60mph. If you have a heavy right foot, expect about 17 mpg on the freeway.

A friend has a 2003 2 wheel drive regular cab with manual trans. He gets 21 mpg all the time. He users it a mostly as a commuter truck also. I have a 2006 F350 6.0 auto trans 4X4. I got 15.5 with the LSD. With the new ULSD I am only getting about 14.5. On the highway empty, the truck can get 20 mpg if you keep it at 68-70 mph.

My 06' F-350, now with about 15,600 miles averages about 14 to 15 mpg,,it really seems to make a difference what kind of terrain you live around,,if its realatively flat mpg are around 18,, rather hilly 14 mpg or so,,when I was traveling about 70 miles a day ,,couple months ago,,It got up to 17.5 mpg one tankful, flater terraine ,,,lately short trips,,hills,, down to 14 mpg or so,,prob winter mix too.

mileage sucks

OK two weeks ago the dealer reflashed the computer under a recall. Well the mileage sucks, I took a 3000 mile trip and was getting 18.2 hand calculated with the cruse control on at 75. At 80 was 17.5 but not constant and on computer. Then the dealer reflashed the computer and I have only taken a constant speed controlled trip at 65 for 48 miles and was getting 16.4 computer calculated. I went back to the dealer and they say that is fenomable mileage and I should be happy to be gettin this mileage. Well I am not happy!!! If this the best they can do I willl be buying the new diesel Toyota. Gee I wonder why people go to foreign vehicles.

2005, F250, cc, Fx4, 22,300 miles, Diesel, short bed, 373 posi

If the re-flash did tank your mileage....that don't seem right. You know, there are a lot of things that influence mileage and one of the big ones would be the winter grade fuel at the pumps right now. I don't know for sure but I have read on other posts that that can do it...I don't know, mine seems to be fairly consistent. In regards to the Diesel Toyota....I have not seen that yet. Are they claiming better economy than the PSD with the same HP/TRQ numbers? If so, that is impressive. If not, then it is not a fair comparison.

Month old '07 F350 with 3K on the clock and I am sitting on 15.4 right now.

Highest I was able to see was 15.6 but because I idle more than normal, I haven't seen higher.

Around 80% of my traveling is via highway.

'03 F-350 6.0 SC SB FX4 I get about 17-18 back road/highway with a 40 mile trip each way to work and back and a little bit of short trips mixed in. Offshore1 posted that he gets 26-28 but he's mod heavy and lives where it's fairly flat, drives around 60 mph on cruise if I recall correctly. The post that was in was one about deleting the cat if you care to do a search. There's another post here, "Need more MPG" I think, that has a lot of this same info in it...

I went and found it, here's the link...
