Mustang II spindle adapters

Mustang II spindle adapters
Winford has sent me some Mustang II spindle adapters that use the 82 - 94 GM Camaro/Firebird calipers. I still would like to use the 11" Granada rotor and some sort of Ford caliper. Here is what I am thinking.
1. The Granada rotor uses the same bearings inner id so they are a bolt on to the Mus II spindle.
2. There are several Ford large bore calipers that I can use.
3. I have the lower part of the adapter pre engineered on the one Winford sent.
Here is the problem and I hope the solution.
I can install the adapter, rotor, and mock up the caliper with pads.
All that is left is fabricating the top half of the adapter and having it welded together.
Does anyone think I'm crazy? Will this work? Are there any problems that I'm overlooking? The top part is plain steel plate all flat.
