FTE Folding @ Home

Hey guys is anyone in this chapter interested in joining the FTE Folding at Home team?

You download a small program, and it runs in the background interfering with none of your other programs. Your computer then "folds proteins" and sends them back to Stanford University to aide in their Cancer Research Department.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ding-home.html

Download the program here, and it'll allow you to enter a user name and team number when you configure it.

http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

The Team Number is 53449

I signed up at the beginning of the week and have a few of my PC's running the program. Too bad someone already has my handle. But anyways, I'm going to try working my way to the top (Team Rank), but it is a long way there. (user = kawika1)<O:p</O:p

I'm glad someone put this on the forum. My 18 year old son was diagnosed last month with cancer and I am feeling like I am unable to do anything for him other than to make him as comfortable as possible. Doctors say his chances are good, but will have to wait until after the second round of surgery to find out. (Then Chemo) I just hope Loyola Univ is as good as they say.<O:p></O:p>

At least this Folding at Home is making me feel like I am doing something positive.<O:p></O:p>

Will, I'm not at the top yet, but gaining fast. 6 more positions and I'm number 1. I doubt that I will become the top man, but who knows. Anyway it not for myself but for my son...
