lowering 1959 F-100

Does anyone out there know how to lower a 1959 F-100 the old school hot rod way. Can I heat the leaf springs? Or am I stuck using blocks. Need help. Low on cash. I want to hotrod this truck out, shoebox style. Thanks for the help.:-staun

Here's a link to a conversation we had before about this(one of many if you want to do a search). I think this info would apply to all old fords with front leaf springs.

Reversing the eyes on the main leaves is about the quickest way, along with removing a couple leaves. Blocks won't do you any good. The axles are below the springs.
