Update to rear end thumping noise

Hello all. I posted some time ago about a thumping noise in the rear of my truck.97 f150 4x4. Well im glad to say I got it figured out. It was a rear wheel bearing. Now I have a question when changing this side should I do both or is it not required. Thanks all.

That is a good question. Since one side failed, the other side has the same mileage. I would go ahead and change it too. Preventive maintanence.

I was thinking the same thing. The price of the bearings and oil seals isnt much so I think I am going to do both sides. I figure hands are dirty anyways lol.
