just another day in the life of my truck i decided that i needed a better throttle linkage than i had made before the old being a piece of stainless bar bent to go between the stock pedal and the carb i wanted to have something with a little bit of adjustment a trip to the local parts store didnt turn up anything useful but a lead to another store he didnt have anything but suggested a briggs and stratton dealer next store who happened to have exactly what i was looking for female threaded barrel with a rubber gasketed swivel fitting to a male stud 1/4-28 on both 3$ and change a piece. a quick trip to the hardware store for a piece of 1/4 bar stock and a few minutes with a tap and i was in there so i thought the stock pedal arm was bent a little without thinking i grabbed it and pushed a little and snap it was loose in my hand now what. i had aquired a ford pickup stock gas pedal middle to late 80's i think started looking at it the bolt pattern was the same within a few 16ths so i bent the inside part taking my time and putting it in and looking and bending and so forth and now it works perfectly so now i have a hanging gas pedal not attached to the floor a smooth throttle linkage for under ten bucks just thought that i would let everybody know and i hope this helps somebody
