I'm not too familiar with the tech monster but the website has a list of all the internals and it looks good. For a couple hundres $$ more you can get a BTS. They are proven and stand behind their work 100%. Search this site for BTS for more info.
I Have A 2003 Psd And Recently Replaced The Trans With A Power Demon Hd Trans From Texas. Not A Monemts Trouble And Offers A 3yr 75000 Mile Warrenty No Matter What Mods!
I just had a BTS trans put in and I dont know about the others. But this is one fine unit that BTS builds. I towed my 13k trailer from Kansas to Indiana and have had no problems with it at all. It would definately be a wise move to contact them and see what they might be able to do for you. Dont know anything about the other shops mentioned, but BTS is the way to go for me.
I believe Brian states a 2 year unlimited mileage but by reputation goes above and beyond for people outside of waranty.
I to have been looking at the monster box at dieselsite and it looks like a good product and from what i have heard on the "Other" forum is a well built tranny.
Just from comments from other peolpe if the BTS is a 10 then the Monsterbox has to be a 9.5 at least.
Jasper has had issues with it in the past. Supposedly Bob will stand behind it though. Personally, I wouldn't want to be one of the first to see how they hold up, and to put their warranty to the test if something does fail. If I remember, they had some restrictions to their warranty, surrounding any type of extreme use or abuse, without actually declaring what that is. Too much gray area for me. No one can seem to actually find solid infor on the warranty either.
Obviously, I'm all for a BTS. And like someone said, for a few hundred dollars more, why not go with a BTS. Proven reliable, with an unbeatable warranty. Brian doesn't care what you do to his, race, sled pull, tug of war, haul 30K, whatever - I ask him about it. If it breaks, he'll cover it. Yes, his written warranty is 2 years, but as long as you own the truck I'd say he'll cover it. He put it to me best when he said, this is the last transmission someone would have to buy, ever.
Jon Faubion (Faubion Motorsports) built my tranny. He is another excellent choice. Many folks that run their Diesels at the track in Noble, Oklahoma (Thunder Valley) have had their tranny's done by Jon. It's wild to watch them rip down the track with Tony Wildman's tunes(www.totaldieselperformance.com) & Jon Faubions engine & tranny work.

I bought a VB from him. One month later the diode locked up and fried the trans. He gave me credit for the VB. That is more than I would do if the trans fried the fluid. Think of all that burnt fluid and debris in the trans.
