Can someone tell me the normal wieght of the '51-'52 f-1's. I've heard 4700lbs. and 3500bls(on my title). Also what is this guy doing--> I can't figure it out.
The GVW is 4800 lbs. so I'd say the 3500 lb. number is relatively close. If you live around a grain elevator just run it across the scales and see. They usually leave the scales turned toward the outside after hours so you can do this when nobody is around.

If you don't have a grain scale nearby a lot of landfills charge by the weight of the stuff you unload. I've asked them to just weigh my vehicle on the inbound side and outbound side and they haven't charged me anything since the weight is the same. I get a printed record of the weight from two different (supposedly calibrated) scales for free!

OBTW, if you ask me, he looks pi$$ed as heck and is shaking his fist while clenching his teeth and shaking his head. As in "You take that back you SOB!"
I have a '49 F1 w/254ci six, nearly stock. My "title' weight is 3040#. My "exiting the dump" weight was 3460#. Subtract 320# for me and my wife and that's about right!
