2004 F250 Mirror Question

I have an 04' F250 XLT, it came with the smaller sized mirrors, I want to upgrade to the telescoping mirrors with heat, and turn signals..

Is the wiring already there for the heat and signals?

Ford dealer told me no, and that I can buy power TT mirrors without heat, signals ect.. But from reading on here atleast 1 persons 04' had the wiring already....

some of the options on my truck is leather, manual climate control, manual transfer case.. It looks like a pretty much base model with leather F250 I think..

Any Ideas??
Thanks,
-=Rick

I'd like to know about this to! I have a chance to get mirrors with the signals in them which is all i want but i assume they telescope and are heated also. What would be needed if the wiring is there?

Actually I pulled the switch covers off each door to take a look, I see the 10 pin square connector just below the window switch cover and it has 8, 9 or so wires on one side of the connector and on the otherside (which looks to lead to the mirror) I believe 3 or 4 wires... so it appears my truck may be wired for the heat/signal/power ect..

I would assume if you have power windows you should have the wires for the mirror.

Right, I have power mirrors now, I just didn't know if I had the wiring for heat, signals, parking lights ect.. so it looks like there is wiring all on the truck side of the connector for these not sure if they all work.. I am thinking I may just buy an aftermarket set of towing mirros off ebay that has the power mirror, telescoping, and heated mirrors...

Unless anyone has a better solution I do like the lighted mirrors but there alot of exta money for what you get..

I decided to pass on the Ebay mirrors.... I orderd the upgrade kit from ford wich is the towing mirrors power no heat ect. Cost $283 for the kit, yea a bit more then the e-bay mirrors.. but I know I have OEM quality stuff and who knows where the stuff on e-bay is made ect.. plus they couldn't give me an idea when they would ship.. ford tells me I'll have them in 2-3 days I get them in 2 days no problems..

So I'll probably sell my old ones if someone needs them..

I already bought the standard upgrade set. but thanks for replying with the part number.. I assume that is per side? The dealer I use said the mirror and cover come seperate as you can buy them to paint or the regular molded plastic. total cost was about $500 for both of the lighted mirrors and covers. I assume above was per side.

my bad, this is the complete kit to add trailer tow mirrors.without the heat and signal.

you would have to buy both mirrors and the covers.

even with FTE price, total for that is $526.64 I checked and have sold a few of these as well as the other complete kit.
